"Val d'Aosta" crouton
Ingredients for 15 portions:
- 100 g of Gorgonzola cheese PGI,
- 15 Ginos chestnuts in syrup,
- 15 bacon slices,
- 1 medium-sized baguette,
- Parsley to taste.
- Cut the bread in thin slices.
- Spread some Gorgonzola cheese on them.
- Lightly cook the bacon in a microwave for 30 seconds at 700 Watt or in a pre-heated oven for few minutes in order to obtain a seared but not crunchy bacon.
- Open and drain a tin of chestnuts, cover each chestnut with a bacon slice and arrange them on the bread slices.
- Finally garnish them with some parsley and serve.
